By downloading or using Honest Vinyl Scanner ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for identifying and cataloguing vinyl records. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or use the app to build a competing service.
Honest Vinyl Scanner uses AI-assisted image recognition and third-party catalogue/pricing data (Discogs, MusicBrainz) to identify records and estimate their market value. These are estimates, not guarantees. Pressing identification can be wrong, especially for rare or ambiguous pressings, and market value estimates fluctuate and may not reflect what you could actually buy or sell a record for. Do not rely on the app as the sole basis for a purchase, sale, insurance, or appraisal decision. When the app is uncertain, it says so — treat any identification without that caveat with the same reasonable skepticism.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the app — including reliance on an identification or value estimate.
We may suspend or discontinue the app or the identification service at any time. Because the app requires no account, "termination" for an individual user simply means uninstalling the app; your locally-stored data is deleted with it (or sooner via Settings → Clear local data).
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
